Tilman Fertitta (born June 25, 1957) is an American businessman and television personality. He is the chairman and CEO of Landry's, Inc., a multinational hospitality corporation that owns and operates more than 600 restaurants, hotels, casinos, and entertainment destinations.
Fertitta is also the owner of the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He acquired the Rockets in 2017 for $2.2 billion. He is also the owner of the Golden Nugget Casinos and the restaurant chains such as Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Claim Jumper, and Morton's The Steakhouse.
His business career began in the early 1980s when he opened his first restaurant, Landry's Seafood, in Katy, Texas. He then expanded his restaurant empire by acquiring and developing various restaurant brands.
Fertitta is also known for his role as the host of the CNBC reality television show Billion Dollar Buyer.
